State Fair dog show 8/29/06

The big reason we returned from vacation when we did (rather than stopping in oh, say, Hawaii) was to go to the state fair. Really. We weren't even in Minnesota yet when we made arrangements to bring the dogs to the Obedience Club show at the pet pavilion. Of course, our dogs are not very advanced so we just did the basic heel, sit, stay, come stuff for the crowd. Yokko, mom & mom, and the kids came to see the show.

Gnocchi's family. He spent the last 6 weeks with most of them, playing in their yard. Gnocchi is on the far left. I think.

But the real fun was agility, as always. Gnocchi will be doing this someday if we can just get him to come when he's called. Right now, he only comes when called if it fits in his schedule. That doesn't work in agility shows. Notice there is no fence between this shepherd and the crowd.

These dogs seem to love this stuff!

This hound was a highlight of the show. He started off really slow, then picked up speed. Sort of. The crowd really enjoyed it.
