you know you're in Japan when... 7/19/06

As I'm sure most of you know, Hiroe and I went to Japan for a while. 6 weeks to be exact. It was fantastic. Let's see, in a quick summary we went to Hokkaido, Tokyo, Takasaki, Yokohama, Sendai, Nagoya, Osaka, Kyoto, and many smaller towns. We saw friends and family (many for the first time for me). We ate great food. We enjoyed fantastic desserts. We drank some (o.k. a lot). It was great!
During the trip and since our return I'd been pondering how to summarize the trip for all to see. I'd love to create a web site just for our trip with maps and diagrams and cool formatting, but I don't have the computer skills to do that. I could also put it in this blog, but it's going to take a while to complete and postings on our life in Minneapolis will have to be swirled in with the Japan travelogue. Therefore my plan is to create a blog just for our Japan trip, separate from this blog. I don't have the site address yet, since I decided to do this oh, about 3 minutes ago. And the Japan blog will have pictures. I took about 2500 of them. But I'm trimming the photo collection down to a manageable number to keep people from using the photos as a sleep aid.
So watch for the blog address for our Japan trip. And meanwhile, welcome back to our daily life.
