winter fun 2/25/06

On Saturday we finally had a chance to go snowmobiling. It's been on our to-do list for a long time. Fortunately, we had nice weather and a bright sun for the ride. Everywhere we went we found smooth and hard packed trails.





























































So nice...

































We then rode down the lake to a local bar for some hot chocolate. Here the lakes freeze thick enough for trucks and cars to drive on them. "Ice houses" are a common sight on the lakes. Many of these houses have heat, electricity, television, a bed, etc...
